Not Humorous

We all know Caden Thomas loves recess. Well things have been very dramatic on the playground lately. Apparently, so and so won't share his football anymore so the favored two-hand touch is out the window. Now, this is traumatic enough in itself but to make matters worse it's cold outside and the monkey bars are second string. So, what do you get when you put gloves on a first grader and send him to the monkey bars?

Yep, a broken arm. Or more specifically, a proximal humerus fracture. Poor guy. He's not in any physical pain, he's just bored to death. So, Caden has to wear a sling for 3-4 weeks, miss PE, recess, and the first half of soccer season. So far he's in good spirits and enjoying all the babying, Oreos, and ice cream he can stand.
