It's Me, Bode.

Hey everybody. Mom's been so lazy about updating her blog. I'm taking matters into my own hands. My little, baby man hands.

We made cookies today! Well, everyone else made cookies. I smeared frosting and sprinkles all over my face! And my chair. And the counter. And the floor. It was awesome!

Look at my brother. Haha! He's ridiculous.

Ali and Chloe really know how to make cookies. Mom never puts enough sprinkles on.

These are Chloe's. All the green sprinkles were gone when she got done. Dad thought it was funny. He must not know that sprinkles aren't free.

Mom wouldn't give me more cookies. She said something about lunch and vegetables. Gross.
Anyway, we haven't been doing much lately. It got cold out. Everyone got runny noses and coughs. We went to doctor lady a lot. A few weeks ago, I gave Uncle Alex  Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease. Whoops! Sorry. I got over it a lot faster than he did. I wonder what that means? Am I super tough? Is Alex a weenie? I bet I am super tough. Look at these pics of me wrestling Dad.

I pinned his head! Dad looks tough but I totally whooped him. And, I'm pretty sure he's scared of Mom. Don't tell anybody.

Coco wanted to wrestle, too. But I think she lost because Dad hung her upside down.

I think she liked it though. She was laughing. Usually if she doesn't like something she gives everyone the "stank eye". That's what Mom and Dad call it anyway. I just think she looks grumpy.

I like it best when she smiles. She's a good big sister. She always sneaks me candy and snacks. Sometimes she tries to carry me, though. So, I pull her hair. Dad says we have to be good because George is watching and he will tell Santa if we are bad.

This is George. He is our Elf on the Shelf. Whatever that is.

George kinda creeps me out. And who is this Santa guy? Are they like the elf mafia? Are they coming by every week for 20%? I mean, look, I got $30 from my birthday but I'm saving it for college. So, I guess they're outta luck. Besides, I've seen Barbies that look tougher than George.

Ali won't have to worry. She's usually being good. Mom says her smile is contagious. I don't think so though. My Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease was contagious, but Ali's smile doesn't make me feel sick. It makes me want to smile, too.

Well, I gotta go shoot hoops with Caden now. It's my new favorite thing to do. "Caden" is my favorite word to say, too. I say lots of stuff if I feel like it. Right now I feel like saying, "BYE!"

A Timeline of Today

1:45 AM:  Ali's up with temp of 104. Tylenol!
2:45 AM:  Fever down to 102. Not great, but better. Back to bed.
3:01 AM:  Chloe comes in my room asking for Nutella sandwich. Seriously child?
6:25 AM:  Bode's up. Ryan asks if I'm going to shower or get baby. I wasn't planning on either, so I debate kicking him.
7:21 AM: Chloe wants cartoons. No patience for commercials.
7:22 AM: Chloe spills juice.
7:24 AM: Chloe wants cartoons.
7:30 AM: Caden off to school.
7:43 AM: Bode explodes diaper. It leaked. On the carpet. Ugh.
7:50 AM: Chloe wants cartoons.
8:15 AM: Chloe and Bode spill CheezIts. Crunch into carpet. Make mental note to have carpet cleaned.
8:22 AM: Chloe waaaaaaaants cartoooooooooons. Ugh.
8:35 AM: Ali wakes up. Still warm, but smiling.
8:50 AM: Bode down for nap. I attempt to disinfect entire house.
9:14 AM: Ali spills Sprite.
9:45 AM: I opt for that shower.
9:49 AM: Chloe interupts shower because she number two-ed her pants. I give her my best "whoopsie" but it's not impressive.
10:05 AM: Chloe and I, both, are clean. And, she wants cartoons. Weird.
10:55 AM: Everyone's dressed and ready.

11:22 AM: Haul everyone to doctor for Ali's appt.
11:45 AM: Ali might have strep throat. Chloe probably would not sit still. Bode definitely blew his pants out. Again.
12:05 PM: No strep throat. Just virus. Good!
12:23 PM: Back home. Ryan's here for lunch. Yay!
12:30 PM: Ryan and I attempt conversation. Impossible. Kids are too loud.

12:44 PM: Chloe spills Rice Krispies.
12:45 PM: Abandon 1 PM naptime and put them to bed early :)

The Grinch

Most people have an inner child. They get excited about holidays, kid movies, or simple pleasures that remind them of childhood. Yeah, Ryan doesn't have one. He killed it and ate it because it was more practical. Afterall, excitement over a video game doesn't put food on the table.

He has never, ever put Christmas lights up outside. Honestly, I never thought he would. However, this year he surprised me. And although it is the most boring possible display only one strand of  non-blinking white lights wrapped around our front porch railing, I thought for a second that his inner child might be winning over his inner old man. But, that was a week ago and he still hasn't actually turned them on. I concluded that he only put them up because I nagged him about it.

Weird. I never really thought nagging would work. Now that it has, I intend to nag more often. Awesome.

Anyway, I told Ryan he had one more night to turn them on or he would be blogged about. If "hmmmph" counts as an acknowledgment, that's what I got. I gave him the ultimatum late last night. So, technically he has one more night. So, I guess I flat out lied fibbed to him. What can I say? My inner child made me do it.

Haven't You Heard?

Cheerios help lower cholesterol. Way to go Brady!

It makes me smile to know my kids aren't the only ones who do crap like this.

Coco's World

Welcome to Coco's World. This is a place where "unicorn" means "acorn" and "no" means "yes". Candy is the most important food group. Televison features Dora 24/7. Big girls get pacifiers and swing in baby swings. And, if you're feeling a little lazy, well just go in your pants. Afterall, there are moms here for clean up ... but please note that grandparents reign supreme (well, second to Coco anyway). Finally, for some reason you must repeatedly make this face when having your picture taken:
