Making Paula Proud

The girls and I watch Paula Deen's show everyday while we make our lunch. What can I say? We love us some Paula. Every once in a while she whips something up that I'm too weak to resist we just have to try. So, a few days ago we made her Mississippi Mud Cake. This thing was ridiculous ya'll. Two layers of chocolate cake with a creamy, fluffy filling. Top it with chocolate cream cheese frosting. I gained five pounds just typing that.

They love to bake with me for two reasons:  free reign to make a mess and licking the beaters!

Ali was pumped to put the marshmallows on the cake all day ... but when it came time to actually eat the cake she didn't want a piece! You explain her to me. Chloe, on the other hand, will put down a piece of cake any time, anywhere. 

Okay, so it's not as pretty as Paula's but it tasted amazing! Now, what to make for Thanksgiving dessert??
