Christmas

T'was the night before Christmas...

I remember this moment quite well.

It was so quiet.

The ensuing two days were complete chaos.

Can you tell that Caden was a really good boy this year?

Don't get me wrong. We had a great holiday! It's just that nothing excites kids like new toys, cousins and sugar overload.  Amidst the spoiling, slothing, and gluttony Ryan and I reminded the children that Christmas isn't about presents and candies, but our Savior Jesus Christ. They assured me they know this to be true (in between mouthfuls of cookies with new toys in hand while chasing each other through the house). Truly though, our time together with extended family was priceless.

We even met one of Santa's elves!

Just kidding. That's Bo-man.

Our little angel, Ali Grace.

Three grandkids on one lap = One happy grandma

Unlike recent past (what?) Christmas's, there was not five feet of snow on the ground. Nor was there a blizzard, and our kids did not have the stomach flu.

I'm calling it a success.

January?

If this weather is due to global warming, I must say I'm all for it. My apologies to Al Gore.

Bode refuses to come back inside. Chloe would be happy to stay out all day, too.

I couldn't get Gracie to go out. She's an indoor cat like me. We opt for a comfy couch and controlled climate any day.

Where to Now, Mom?

Caden and Ali are back in school now which means Chloe, Bode and I are on the move. Running errands is so much easier with two kids versus four!

Cutie babies!

I promise I have intentions of doing a Christmas post! But first I have to show you the beautiful babies I got to spend time with over the holiday.

Besides, I only have a few minutes and my mom told me to blog. Now. Being the well behaved twenty-eight year old I am, I will oblige her demand request.

Because, you're never too old to listen to your mom.

Because, respecting thy mother is a commandment.

Because, it's a small thing to do for the woman who raised me.

Because, at one time I was and ill behaved seventeen year old. And, eighteen. And, nineteen.

Because, I once had an English teacher who wouldn't let us start sentences with "because".

And, mostly because she gave me lotso cash for Christmas.

On with the cuteness! Here is my smiley, little nephew, Landon (thanks Julie, as I totally jacked these pics from FB):

Isn't he sweet??

Now, for a dose of girl adorableness. My neice, Brynn:

Almost makes me want another one.

Almost.
